Hi! I realised I’ve just answered a very similar question here: /drugsm13-zone/2013/03/21/marijuana-also-known-as-cannabis-is-a-drug-intended-for-use-as-a-medicine-and-as-a-pyschoactive-drug-despite/
Basically: yes I think it should be legal. We don’t fully understand what the medical uses of cannabis could be though and we still need more research. Although it can help with sickness and pain, there are other alternatives and it may not be the best thing to use.
Have a look at the other answer for more info 🙂
These are interesting and important questions!

Jack gave a great answer, and I totally agree with him.

It is already legal in some countries, like Holland. And they do use it here in hospitals in some cases because of its calming effects. Cannabis is less harmful than tobacco, but so many people smoke that. And the last scientific advisor to the government was forced to resign after he told the government that he thought cannabis should be legal. So there are a lot of people with strong opinions about it.
