Watched my dad run with the olympic torch last summer through our home town was the coolest thing I’ve done 🙂

Coolest thing in science: going to conferences. I went to Germany last week, and the best one I’ve been to was in Spain. There were lots of famous scientists there giving talks, and there was lots of socialising to do in the evenings. It was a great mix of meeting new people and learning new things. I’m hoping to go to another conference in America in the summer.

Coolest thing not in science: I wrote a show last year and performed it at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I spent two weeks up there with friends who were in plays and we’d watch loads of comedy in the day and then perform in the evening. It was brilliant fun!

I once put my hand in a bucket of ice for so long that I had no feeling anymore, that was pretty cool.

sorry that was a terrible joke…

Coolest work thing – travelled all over the world (US, many European countries, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand)

Coolest non-work thing – answering questios for I’m a Scientist, of course. That or being SCUBA diving and having a hammerhead shark swim past me so close I could touch it. Scary but awesome
