This is an idea that comes about because we don’t know how we think and why we are here. The brain is so complex that even super smart neuroscientists don’t understand it all. How do we think and what makes us human? why do we have emotions? memories?

Some people believe that we have a soul and this is what makes us alive and human. But I don’t think that we know enough yet to really answer these questions and maybe in the future people will have a better understanding to explain things.

I’d like to think so! There’s so much about us humans that we just don’t know yet. Some people reckon that you lose 21 grams at death…could be a soul!? Probably just gas though… 😛

The idea of a “soul” is interesting, but the way it’s defined is a bit weird, in that it’s something which extends beyond the physical world. As such, it can’t be accessed by science. As there’s no way of finding something that can’t be found, there’s not really a definite answer either way.

Of course, one on the bottom of each foot 🙂

I’m not sure about the existence of souls. A soul separate from the body seems unexplainable by science, and I don’t think we need to come up with mystical explanations for things that are just amazing quirks of how bits of matter interact with each other.
