Yes – very simply because it’s the most credible theory of how we got here. That and there are some organisms that live for only a very short time – so you can see them changing (which is essentially what evolution is) over relatively short periods of time. That’s enough to get me believing.

Yes, it’s a really simple theory that you can see examples of all around you. All the different animals/plants you see have evolved from simple single called organisms that are distant relations of the bacteria we have now. They all share the same building blocks and basic parts, which is pretty strong evidence for evolution.

Yes because it is true. As the other guys have said, we can see the results around us.

And by looking at fossils of animals thousands and millions of years old we can see how life has changed and developed over a very long time. It makes you think that if with global warming and other environmental changes, what will life be like in another million years time?

Yes – I agree with the answers above. There is lots of evidence for it and we can see examples from nature to support the theory.

Yep! Absolutley… because it’s all around us!

Did you see in the news the other day about how the neanderthals became extict? Scientists say that it’s because of their big eyes that they went extinct. They had evolved to have big eyes, which they needed to handle the long nights. Unfortunately though, this used up lots of thier brain power. Modern humans, on the other hand, evolved from Africa where the days were brighter and longer so they didn’t need bigger eyes… and instead evolved to have frontal lobes, which is associated with higher levels of thinking!

Makes you wonder if / what we’ll evolve to in the future!
